About Us
Metro Golf Carts of the Potomac is a division of Potomac Recreation Group (PRG), a Virginia “C” corporation which was formed in April 2002. Our founder, Art Buswell, was named “Business Person of the Year” for his contribution to the community through our effort to provide employment and enhance economic development. Art and Doris Buswell continue to own and operate PRG.
PRG was formed to quickly capitalize on the 2002 change in Virginia law that allowed the operation of golf carts within the Town of Colonial Beach.. We are strategically located in the center of Colonial Beach, the largest incorporated town in the Northern Neck. The Town of Colonial Beach was the first community in The Commonwealth to allow golf carts on public streets for use other than on golf courses. This privilege has now been extended to other communities in The Commonwealth.
Over the last 7 years we have extended our geographical market to the State of Virginia and Southern Maryland. Our customer base includes individuals, universities, police departments, apartment complexes and other industrial facilities.
Our primary business is the sale and rental of golf carts, LSVs and related accessories. Our mission is to provide the highest level of quality products with superior customer care and satisfaction.
